Apple may add blood pressure monitoring to Apple Watch in 2025
Apple is actively working on the blood pressure monitoring function for Apple Watch, which may appear as early as 2025, Bloomberg reports.
Here's What We Know
This innovation, which the company has been working on for several years, should warn users about the increase in blood pressure by sending notifications when hypertension is detected. However, this feature will not show the exact systolic and diastolic pressure readings, but will only indicate an upward trend.
High blood pressure often has no obvious symptoms, but can lead to serious health problems, so early detection through Apple Watch can save lives. Apple already has atrial fibrillation detection and the ability to take an ECG.
This monitoring is planned for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and standard models that will be released in 2025.
However, it is not yet known whether Apple will be able to launch this feature in 2025.
