Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was released on 9 December for Xbox Series X/S and PC and received positive reviews from critics and players alike. And Lucasfilm would like to repeat this success.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with Variety, Lucasfilm Games vice president Douglas Reilly expressed hope for the potential of the franchise in partnership with MachineGames if the game is successful. He noted that there are many opportunities for new Indiana Jones stories between films.

I think we're always looking for great stories. And the good news is that there's a lot of space between the films where we can tell more and more Indiana Jones stories that I think would be extremely interesting

Reilly also commented on the issue of the game's canonicity in the context of the Indiana Jones universe, emphasising that it is an authentic story that takes place between the two films (Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade) and is in line with the spirit of the franchise.

As a reminder, the developer MachineGames is currently working on a storyline DLC called The Order of the Giants, which will be released in 2025, as well as a PS5 version of the game that will appear in spring 2025.
