China's Geely is bringing a Ford E-Transit Custom competitor to the UK market
Farizon, the commercial vehicle division of China's Geely Automobile, will soon enter the UK market with a rival to the Ford E-Transit Custom and Vauxhall Vivaro Electric.
Here's What We Know
The Farizon SV, which stands for Supervan, is based on a platform designed specifically for electric vehicles. The battery pack is mounted under the floor of the cargo area. The Supervan will have a payload capacity of between 1,100kg and 1,300kg and a cargo volume of between 6.9 and 13 cubic metres.
Two batteries will be available at launch: 67 kWh and 83 kWh. The latter is claimed to provide a range of 225 miles (362 kilometres). Another 106 kWh battery will be available at a later date.
Three versions in body length and height are provided:
- 4.99 metres long and 1.98 metres high;
- 5.49 metres long and 2.18 metres high;
- 5.95 metres long and 2.5 metres high.
The Supervan has a three-seat cabin with two displays: the instrument panel and the multimedia system touchscreen. In China, this model is also available as a seven- and nine-seat minibus, as well as a camper van. However, for the UK, such modifications have not yet been announced.

Prices are also yet to be announced, but the Farizon SV is expected to be cheaper than the Ford E-Transit Custom (£44,899 ex VAT) and Vauxhall Vivaro Electric (£51,715 ex VAT). Deliveries will start in mid-2025.
