The graphics processor of the new AMD Strix Halo chip has matched NVIDIA's RTX 4060 for notebooks in tests
AMD is preparing to unveil its new Strix Halo series of chips at CES 2025. The new Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 395 hybrid processor has shown impressive results in benchmark tests.
Here's What We Know
The new APU features a processor with 16 cores and 32 threads, running at a base frequency of 3GHz and reaching 5.1GHz at maximum. The Radeon 8060S GPU with RDNA 3.5 architecture scored 67,000 points in the Vulkan API test, delivering a level of performance not expected from an integrated GPU. This performance is comparable to NVIDIA's RTX 4060 notebook GPU, making it a powerful option for both mobile gaming and graphics-intensive applications.
