Vivo may introduce its new Jovi smartphone sub-brand in 2025
Chinese company Vivo, known for its smartphones and tablets, plans to launch a new sub-brand called Jovi in 2025. The name Jovi is already familiar to Vivo users as it has been used for their virtual assistant and some system apps.
Here's What We Know
According to the GSMA database, three new devices will be released under the Jovi brand: the Jovi V50, Jovi V50 Lite 5G and Jovi Y39 5G with model numbers V2427, V2440 and V2444 respectively. Interestingly, the Jovi V50 and Vivo V50 have the same model numbers as the Jovi V50 Lite 5G and Vivo V50 Lite 5G. This indicates that the new Jovi devices could be a rebranding of the existing Vivo models.
Jovi is expected to target the mid-range and budget market segments by offering affordable 5G smartphones. Vivo, following Xiaomi's strategy with the Redmi and POCO brands, may be looking to expand its market presence and increase sales of its devices. However, the exact launch plans and regional focus of the new Jovi brand remains unclear for now.
