Subaru WRX and Levorg received limited edition STI Sport R-Black in Japan
Subaru has introduced a new special edition for the Japanese market, the STI Sport R-Black Limited Edition. These versions of the WRX S4 sedan and the related Levorg station wagon get black design elements and some nice interior upgrades.
What's New.
Both models feature black mirror housings and a roof-mounted antenna. The WRX also gets black alloy wheels and a large rear spoiler, which were previously available on the STI Sport EX.
Subaru WRX S4 STI Sport R-Black Limited:
The colour palette includes eight options, among them the new Galaxy Purple Pearl shade. This colour has already appeared on the US version of the 2025 WRX tS and the BRZ series.
Subaru Levorg STI Sport R-Black Limited:
Interior
Inside the cars are black Recaro seats with the STI logo on the headrests. They are upholstered in Ultrasuede material with red stitching and the driver's seat is electrically adjustable in 8-directions. The door panels and the front console are covered with a combination of black leather and suede inserts, complemented by contrasting red stitching.
The technical part is unchanged
The 2.4-litre opposition turbo engine with 271 hp and 375 Nm of torque is unchanged. The engine is complemented by CVT transmission with imitation of 8-speed "mechanics".
Prices
STI Sport R-Black Limited cars are available to order in Japan with prices starting at ¥5,302,000 (approximately $34,700) for the WRX S4 and ¥5,368,000 ($35,200) for the Levorg. That's ¥275,000 ($1,800) more expensive than the base STI Sport R EX trims.
Subaru plans to produce 250 units of the sedan and 900 station wagons per month.
