Owners of Galaxy S23 series flagships may not get the One UI 7.0 beta update this month
A week ago, Samsung started rolling out the One UI 7.0 beta for the Galaxy S24 series in Germany, South Korea and the US. It was expected that the update would soon become available for other devices, including the Galaxy S23 series. However, this now seems unlikely as a December security patch without the One UI 7.0 beta has been released for the Galaxy S23 series of flagships.
Here's What We Know
The update that appeared in South Korea for the Galaxy S23 has firmware version S91xNKSS5CXKA and only includes standard security patches. This is not a good sign for Galaxy S23 owners who have been patiently waiting for the beta version to appear this month. Usually, new betas are released along with the following month's security patch, so we can assume a similar result this time around.
It's possible that other devices like the Galaxy Fold 6 and Flip 6 foldable phones will get One UI 7.0 sooner than the Galaxy S23 series, but that will be revealed after the second One UI 7.0 beta for the Galaxy S24, which is expected to be released on 16 December.
