Call of Duty 2026 is expected to see the return of Omnimovement mechanics, wall running and updated maps from Modern Warfare 3
According to the latest rumours, Infinity Ward Studios will release a new game in the Call of Duty series in 2026, which promises a lot of innovations and the return of popular elements.
Here's What We Know
One of the key features will be the Omnimovement mechanic, first introduced in Black Ops 6. This mechanic allows players to use a wide range of moves, including striking and diving into a lying position, which opens up new opportunities for a tactical approach to combat.
The wall-running mechanic, first introduced in Black Ops 3 and used in Infinite Warfare, is also expected to return. In addition, the game will feature both updated maps from Modern Warfare 3 and completely new ones. We don't know what kind of updated maps we are talking about yet.
Since Infinity Ward studio has already tackled Infinite Warfare in 2016, it's quite possible these innovations will be related to the theme of that game. But for now, all this information has not been officially confirmed and things could still change before the game's final release.
