At TGA 2024 there was a surprise announcement from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco.

The studio presented a co-operative spin-off Elden Ring with the subtitle Nightreign.

Here's What We Know

The concept and style of Elden Ring remains unchanged, but now players will visit an alternate version of Middle-earth, over which a new threat is looming.

Elden Ring: Nightreign is designed for co-operative play with up to three people. It seems that users will be able to invite friends or pick up random partners and fight powerful bosses together.

Interestingly, the action game will feature a lot of new mechanics and magic abilities, and the heroes will become much more mobile than in the original game.

It should be noted that the development of the new game is led not by Hidetaka Miyazaki himself, but by Junya Ishizaki - Bloodborne level designer and Elden Ring battle designer.

When We Can Expect It

Elden Ring: Nightreign will be released in 2025 on PC (Steam), PlayStation, and Xbox.
