Samsung is planning to bring back its Exynos chips to the Galaxy S26 series. While the Galaxy S25 series is likely to use only Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chips due to production issues with the Exynos 2500, the company intends to rectify the situation with the release of the Galaxy S26.

Here's What We Know

According to the latest reports, the base Galaxy S26 and S26+ models will be equipped with Exynos chips, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra will get the latest Snapdragon. Samsung is looking to reduce its dependence on Qualcomm and offset the rising cost of imported components due to the depreciation of the Korean currency. Samsung has reportedly solved many of the problems with the production of the new chips and the restoration of production at the Samsung foundry gives hope for a successful return of Exynos.

In addition to this, there are reports that Samsung is also considering using the Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip FE foldable models, which would be the first use of Exynos chips in the company's foldable devices.
