At The Game Awards 2024, Fumito Ueda, the famous developer of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian, announced his new project, which has no name yet, but we'll call it Project Robot for now.

Here's What We Know

The trailer shows a character climbing a huge mechanical robot while an ominous voice counts down to a catastrophic event.

The game promises to immerse players in a new world, different from Ueda's previous projects, with a focus on science fiction. The game is being developed by genDESIGN with the support of Epic Games, which will be the first time Fumito's game will be released on PC.

While the trailer shows off the game's breathtaking visuals and new mechanics, such as using a mechanical head to escape a destructive wave, details on the release date or platforms remain unknown. This is Ueda's fourth project after The Last Guardian, released in 2016.
