One of the most unusual and stylish displays at The Game Awards 2024 was the debut Dispatch trailer from AdHoc Studio, which was founded by the authors of New Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us.

Here's What We Know

Dispatch is a humorous action-strategy with elements of an interactive film. It is partially similar to Telltale studio projects: during the cinematic scenes gamers can also choose lines in dialogue and influence the course of events.

The main character of Dispatch will be Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha-Man. He is a superhero, but after he suffers a crushing defeat in a fight with his enemy, he loses all his authority and gets a job as a dispatcher in a superhero agency and has to help his colleagues remotely. In fact, this is the main gameplay mechanics: the player needs to choose wisely who and what tasks to send and make sure that everything goes according to plan.

Between "strategic" episodes the heroes will communicate, discuss their adventures and build relationships.

It is noteworthy that the characters are voiced by celebrities of cinema and gaming industry, for example, the role of the main character will be performed by Aaron Paul - the star of the series "Breaking Bad" (Breaking Bad). Players will also hear the voices of Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part 2), Erin Yvette (The Wolf Among Us), Matthew Mercer (Critical Role), Jeffrey Wright (Batman) and popular youtubers MoistCr1TiKaL and Jacksepticeye, among others.

When We Can Expect It

Dispatch is expected to release in 2025 on PC and consoles.
