Elden Ring was named Best Game of 2022, won a record number of awards and is still the most awarded game in the history of the industry.

With its complex gameplay, excellent technical execution, gorgeous location design, and complete player freedom, Elden Ring continues to be hugely popular almost three years after its release.

Here's What We Know

FromSoftware studio published a press release in which they revealed the current sales statistics.

It turned out that Elden Ring sales have exceeded 28.6 million copies, which for an incredibly challenging single-player game is a colossal success.

Elden Ring will continue to strive to provide high quality content that fans around the world can enjoy for a long time to come.

This kind of success clearly shows why Sony is so interested in acquiring Kadokawa Corporation, the parent company of FromSoftware. Games from the Hidetaka Miyazaki team have always received the highest ratings, but Elden Ring is the first project that has attracted such a huge audience.

Recall, a few days FromSoftware announced a co-operative game Elden Ring Nightreign, the release of which is expected in 2025. This will be a project with elements of roguelike, sessions which last about 30 minutes and are designed for one or three players. Interestingly, in Nightreign players will be able to fight bosses from other games of the Japanese studio. More information about this project is revealed in our material.
