The Pixel Phone app is gearing up for the Christmas and New Year holidays with new audio emoji. Users can now add new sound effects to Pixel-to-Pixel calls.

Here's What We Know

Version 156 of the app introduces the "Christmas Tree" audio emoji, replacing the "Party Cotton". The animation is accompanied by ringing bells and Santa's sleigh with reindeer. Temporarily replaced the crying face audio emoji with "Fireworks" with a rocket taking off. These updates are available for Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and later models.

Additionally, the video call icon is now located in the top right corner of the screen, making it more accessible. Tapping on the icon takes the call to a Google Meet video session.
