Vauxhall has announced prices and specifications for the Movano Hydrogen van in the UK

Prices for the hydrogen version of Vauxhall's largest light commercial vehicle in the L3 H2 van body will start from £66,450 (about €80,115 or $84,100) excluding VAT. UK order intake will begin in spring 2025, Vauxhall said in a press release.

Here's What We Know

The Vauxhall/Opel Movano Hydrogen vehicle was unveiled at the IAA Transportation 2024 exhibition in Hanover. This model is a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle. The Movano Hydrogen is equipped with an electric motor that develops a maximum output of 150 hp (110 kW) and 410 Nm of torque.

The fuel cell system is designed for a maximum output of 45 kW. Four cylindrical cylinders can store up to 7kg of hydrogen at an operating pressure of 700 bar. Range is up to 311 miles (500 kilometres) on the WLTP cycle.

An 11 kWh lithium-ion battery provides start-up or acceleration support. The battery can also be charged in about 90 minutes using an 11 kW AC charger, in addition it is charged by regeneration when the vehicle is braking.

The hydrogen version of the Movano will be available exclusively in the Prime specification. The equipment list for this version includes a 10-inch touchscreen multimedia system with integrated TomTom navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, AM/FM/DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and two USB sockets. The car also has a 7.0-inch digital dashboard and electric power steering. In addition, the cabin is equipped with a six-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and armrest, and a two-seat passenger seat.

Additional features include keyless entry and start, rear parking sensors, automatic air conditioning, electric parking brake and dual side mirrors with power adjustable and heated tops. The cabin also has two cup holders and a mobile phone compartment in the centre of the lower panel.

The Vauxhall Movano Hydrogen will be sold in the UK alongside the existing diesel and electric versions of the Movano.
