16GB and 8GB GDDR7 video memory: First details about NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 graphics cards have emerged

NVIDIA is planning to unveil new GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards as part of its CES 2025 event in early January. The specifications of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 models, which are part of the new series, have already appeared on the Internet, thanks to a new leak.

Here's What We Know

The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 graphics cards will reportedly feature 16GB and 8GB of GDDR7 video memory respectively. These models will retain the 128-bit memory interface similar to the previous generation RTX 4060. The graphics cards will utilise the GB206 GPU and will offer up to 448GB/s of memory bandwidth, which is 55% higher than the RTX 4060 Ti and 65% higher than the RTX 4060.

The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of video memory will be particularly useful for gaming at 1440p resolution, especially when ray tracing and high-resolution textures are enabled. Meanwhile, the GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB of video memory is designed for gaming at 1080p resolution with the ability to scale up to 1440p in some games.

The new graphics cards are expected to go on sale in late February or March 2025. NVIDIA is looking to strengthen its position in the mid-tier GPU market, especially as it competes with Intel's Arc and AMD's Radeon RX graphics devices. These new products will help meet the demands of current and future AAA games that require more than 8GB of video memory.
