NetEase Games' position remains unchanged: Marvel Rivals will not have a queue system for roles yet

In the popular Marvel Rivals game, the topic of introducing a Role Queue system has once again been raised. Players have expressed concern about the balance of team rosters, as many tend to play the role of Duelist, leaving other roles without due attention. However, NetEase Games has confirmed that they have no plans to implement this feature at this time.
Here's What We Know
The game's CEO "Guangguang" noted in a comment for Dot Esports that the team aims to create a variety of hero combinations through unique skills and designs. "We want players to be able to freely choose their superheroes, not limit their choices," said Guangguang. The decision has received mixed reactions in the community, with some players believing that role queues could improve the balance of matches.
Since the launch of Marvel Rivals in December 2024, the game has attracted attention for its diverse roster of characters. However, the lack of role rotation leads to situations where teams consist primarily of damage-doing characters without support or tanks. This can create problems in the ranked game mode, where an optimal balance between roles is essential to success.
"Guangguang also noted that internal statistics show positive results in the game. "We are seeing different character combinations and will continue to monitor their impact on the game," he added. Although this does not mean that role queues will never appear in Marvel Rivals, the team plans to stick to its current approach.
Marvel Rivals will receive a winter event on 20 December with a Splatoon-inspired mode and themed costumes.
