French publisher Microids has announced another detective game based on Agatha Christie's novel. This time the developer will adapt the book "Death on the Nile" (Death on the Nile).

Here's What We Know

The short teaser of Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile is not rich in details, it only reminds that the events of the game will unfold in Egypt on a cruise ship, on which a murder is committed.

Here's how the authors describe the story:

...A peaceful cruise on the Nile is interrupted by a horrific crime. Fortunately, the famous detective Hercule Poirot is on board. Meanwhile, another detective tracks down a murderer whose trail stretches from London to Mallorca, then to New York and finally to Egypt. The two investigations intersect in Abu Simbel, where the unlikeable characters have to solve a complex and surprising case.

Microids did not repeat the plot of the book verbatim and even moved its events from the 1930s to the 1970s - the peak of the feminist movement and the struggle for minority rights.

In Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile you will play as two detectives - Hercule Poirot and Jane Royce - and not only solve the crime, but also solve interesting puzzles, communicate with characters, examine evidence and compare facts. The developers promise that the game will be more complex and challenging than Murder on the Orient Express.

When We Can Expect It

Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile will be released in 2025 on PC (Steam, EGS, GOG), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
