Yesterday, authoritative insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman shared exclusive information about Apple's ambitious foldable gadget, which will combine the capabilities of iPad and Mac.

Shortly after its publication, colleagues from The Wall Street Journal supplemented the information with important clarifications.

Here's What We Know

Mark Gurman mentioned that the foldable device is comparable in size to two iPad Pro tablets, from which we made an assumption that its diagonal will be about 25 inches. But journalists from The Wall Street Journal reported that the device will feature a 19-inch display.

The ambitious new product will not have a crease in the middle and the gadget will have the largest display among all Apple tablets and laptops.

As an operating system, they do plan to use iPadOS or specially developed software that will be advanced enough to run macOS apps.

Apple has faced serious technical challenges in developing this device, so it won't be available for sale until 2028-2029 at the earliest.
