Toyota USA has unveiled the bZ4X electric crossover for the 2025 model year. The big news is that the starting price of the model has dropped to $37,070 - that's $6,000 cheaper than before.

Here's What We Know

The flagship Limited trim now costs $41,800, which is $5,380 cheaper than before. It also gets three new driver assistance systems: Front Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist. The latter feature allows hands-free driving at speeds of up to 25 mph (40 km/h) on controlled access freeways.

Another major update is the arrival of the Nightshade Edition. This model, priced from $40,420, is based on the XLE trim with all-wheel drive. Nightshade Edition is distinguished by black exterior elements: nameplates, door handles, spoiler and 20-inch wheels. Inside there are seats with combined upholstery (SofTex and fabric) and contrasting red stitching.

Specifications

The Toyota bZ4X 2025 gets a familiar powertrain line-up:

  • Front-wheel drive: 71.4 kWh battery, 201 hp (150 kW) engine
  • All-wheel drive: 72.8 kWh battery, two electric motors with a combined output of 214 hp (160 kW)
