A leak has revealed that the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro smartphone might get a new Snapdragon 8s Elite chip

Immediately 2 Chinese whistleblowers have reported some details about the upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi Civi series - Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro.

According to the leaks, the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will be the first smartphone based on the new Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. The device will also feature a 1.5K display with curved edges on all sides and a pill-shaped cutout for the dual front camera.

The smartphone will get an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen and a fibreglass back panel with metal side bezels. The main camera will include a telephoto lens and other sensors co-developed with Leica. The battery capacity is expected to be around 5,000 mAh.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is likely to be released in the first quarter of 2025, right after the announcement of the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. The estimated price of the device will be around $470. The smartphone may be launched in the global market under a different name.
