Casio opens pre-order for MRGB2000JS1A premium watch in the US

Casio has announced the launch of pre-orders for the MRGB2000JS1A watch in the United States.

This G-Shock model has Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone connectivity, supports two time zones, and automatically adjusts the position of the hands.

It also features Tough Solar technology for solar charging and water resistance to 200 metres.

The watch case is made of titanium and the bracelet is treated with a special DLC coating to increase durability.

The MRGB2000JS1A was created in collaboration with Japanese masters Teruhira Kamiyama and Nomura Mamoru.

The price of the watch in the US is $8000, and only 110 units are available. Its higher-than-average price reflects the use of premium materials, such as a titanium case and a titanium alloy bracelet with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating.

Pre-orders are being accepted on the official Casio website and in selected jewellery stores. The model is also expected to be available in the UK for £6700.
