No duets: in Elden Ring: Nightreign you can play alone or in a team of three

At The Game Awards 2024, FromSoftware made an unexpected announcement - the company presented a co-op spin-off of Elden Ring with the subtitle Nightreign. And now it has become known how the co-op works.

In an interview with IGN, a representative of FromSoftware said that Nightreign can be played alone or in a team of 3 people.

So if you were going to play it only with your friend, it won't work out and you'll have to look for a third person or the game will find you one.

Why is this? The developer Nightreign explained that this decision is mostly about balancing the game, not game design.

The authors want every player to have a sense of achievement, a sense of reward from cooperative play. And they decided that this effect is best achieved when there are three of you.

Let us remind you that Elden Ring: Nightreign will feature eight classes, roguelike elements, and an alternate storyline.
