The era of game adaptations continues: indie hit Pacific Drive about survival in an anomalous zone will get a series
Famous director James Wan, creator of The Conjuring and Aquaman, has announced that he will adapt the popular indie game Pacific Drive into a TV series. Wan and the team of his production company Atomic Monster will work on the project, which promises to bring the world of the game to the screens.
Here's What We Know
Pacific Drive, released in February 2024, has become a hit among players thanks to its interesting survival mechanics and retro-futuristic style. The game is set in a fictionalised version of the Olympic Exclusion Zone in Washington, D.C., where players explore dangerous areas while trying to avoid supernatural threats. Wan plans to maintain this atmosphere of tension and mystery in the TV adaptation.
Pacific Drive was nominated as the best debut indie game at The Game Awards on 20 December and won the award for best gameplay at the BIG 2024 festival.
However, it is not yet known when the series will be released and any big details. So we are waiting for more news.
