Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra scriptwriter Amy Henning has shared the latest details about the game, as well as presented the first look at the Wakanda version. The game, announced for release in 2021, is being developed by Skydance New Media, a studio headed by the former Naughty Dog writer.

Here's What We Know

Henning said that the game is set in a time when a young Steve Rogers is still trying to find his place in the world, unlike the more experienced character we are used to seeing in the films. It also allows for the introduction of a new Black Panther from 1943, Azzuri, T'Challa's grandfather, who is a more mature character compared to the young Captain America.

The game promises a "global story" covering various locations, including the jungles of Wakanda and occupied Paris. Henning noted that Wakanda at the time was hidden from the outside world and protected by impenetrable jungle. However, events force it to intervene in the conflict as the world becomes smaller and threats approach.

In addition, Henning confirmed that Captain America and Black Panther will be rivals at first, but will eventually unite against common enemies. As the name of the game suggests, the main antagonists are Nazis. "Who doesn't want to punch a Nazi?" she said.

However, it is not known when the game will be released. Although the authors are still targeting 2025.
