Elevation Lab presents TimeCapsule to extend AirTag's life up to 10 years

On 18 December 2024, Elevation Lab announced the release of TimeCapsule, a solution that significantly extends the battery life of Apple's AirTag.

Here's What We Know

The device costs $20 and is a special case for AirTag that contains two AA batteries with 14 times the capacity of the original CR2032 battery.

The TimeCapsule works by connecting the top of the AirTag to a built-in contact that replaces the coin cell and provides power. The case is sealed and can be hidden in a car, luggage, camera bag or other valuable item. The device is IP69 waterproof, allowing it to be used in harsh environments.

Although the TimeCapsule increases the weight and size of the AirTag, it remains compact enough to fit in bags or luggage.

The gadget is available for purchase on the Elevation Lab website or on Amazon for $20.
