The Batman director Matt Reeves has confirmed that the filming of the long-awaited sequel, The Batman 2, will start in 2025. In a conversation with actress Zoe Kravitz, who played Catwoman in the first part, Reeves noted that the team is currently finalising the script and preparing for production.

Here's What We Know

This is good news for fans who have been waiting for updates on the continuation of the story of Batman, played by Robert Pattinson. The first instalment, released in 2022, received positive reviews for its dark and realistic approach to the character, combining elements of the Gothic with modern cinema.

In addition, Reeves discussed the possibility of continuing The Penguin series, which became a spin-off and was very well received by audiences and critics. "We're in talks with showrunner LeFranc about the possibility of creating a second season," Reeves said. "The first season of the series starring Colin Farrell tells the story of Penguin's rise as a criminal mastermind.

So we hope that at least part 2 of Batman will not be postponed, as the premiere is expected in October 2026. And if we can see the Penguin on TV once again, it will be a good gift too.
