Actor Jesse Eisenberg, who played Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman, shared his thoughts on the impact of this role on his career. In a recent episode of the Armchair Expert podcast, he admitted that his appearance in this film, despite its financial success, caused serious damage to his reputation.

Here's What We Know

Eisenberg noted that the negative reaction to his performance in this role was particularly difficult for him. "I've never said this before, and it's a little embarrassing to admit, but I really think it actually hurt my career," he said. The actor stressed that although he had been involved in less successful projects that went unnoticed, this role became public and attracted a lot of criticism.

After the release of Batman v Superman, Eisenberg's career did not develop significantly, unlike other actors who also took part in DC films. His unconventional performance of Lex Luthor was harshly criticised, and although he tried to bring novelty to the character, it did not bring him the recognition he wanted.

Despite the difficulties, Eisenberg continues to work in film and recently starred in a new project, A Real Pain, which he also wrote and directed.
