The developers of Helldivers 2 tried to explain the reason for the high price of items from the Killzone crossover, but only caused outrage among players
Helldivers 2 was the first crossover with the popular Killzone series of shooters. However, it caused heated discussions in the community because of the price, and the developers themselves added fuel to the fire.
Here's What We Know
Crossovers are not part of regular Warbonds but belong to a new level of special premium content designed for collaborations and unique thematic materials. This decision drew some criticism from players due to the high price of new items. For example, an assault rifle costs 615 super credits, and armour without a helmet costs 500 credits.
And Arrowhead CEO Shams Georgiani noted that high prices for content allow the team to create more free content for players in the future.
The more we sell, the more free content we can release
And after that, players were even more outraged, because the game is not free anyway, so the prices for "cosmetics" could be lower.
Others started joking that the developers were starving and needed help.
So now we have to believe that the studio will take all this into account and the next items from the collaborations will cost less.
By the way, the peak online of Helldivers 2 has reached 150 thousand players for the first time since April thanks to the big Omens of Tyranny update.
