Developers of the unusual action game South of Midnight showed a tense fight with a huge Alligator Tom
Compulsion Games studio (the author of the conceptual dystopia We Happy Few) has published a short gameplay video of the notable action-adventure South of Midnight, which will be set in an alternative rural area of the southern United States, where local folklore is combined with magic and fantasy monsters.
Here's What We Know
A short trailer shows the main character's fight with a boss called Two-Toed Tom. This is a huge and aggressive alligator, which, despite its size, is characterised by high mobility, deftly dodges the girl's blows and even knows how to make a sharp turn around its own axis to deliver a crushing blow with its tail.
The story of this creature is also remarkable: originally, he was a small animal that was starved by a sadistic master. But after Two-toed Tom found his freedom, he made a promise to himself that he would never starve again and eventually became a huge monster.
The main feature of South of Midnight is the use of the stop motion art technique, also known as frame-by-frame animation, but it will be possible to switch it off in the game.
When We Can Expect It
According to insider information, the game will be released in March 2025.
South of Midnight is being made for Xbox Series and PC and will be available in the Game Pass catalogue.
