Samsung fixes bugs in Galaxy A53 update in the US: December 2024 security patch is now available
Samsung Galaxy A53 users are looking forward to the update to Android 15 with One UI 7.0.
Here's What We Know
However, the company plans to roll out this update to flagship devices first, which may take another month or two. In the meantime, Samsung has released a small update for Galaxy A53 owners that improves the security of the smartphone.
The update is already available for the US carrier-bound version of the Galaxy A53 5G with model number SM-A536U. The new software has a build number of A536USQUDEXKA and includes the December 2024 security patch that addresses a number of vulnerabilities.
How To Switch It On
To download the latest update, go to Settings, Software Update, Download & Install. For those who have difficulty obtaining the OTA update, there is an option to download the firmware from Samsung's database and install it manually using Odin. However, this method should only be used if you have problems with the automatic update.
