iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR: information has emerged on which iPhones will receive iOS 19

According to information published on the iPhoneSoft website, all iPhone models that support iOS 18 will be able to upgrade to iOS 19. This means that owners of the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR released in 2018 will also be able to install the new operating system, as they support iOS 18.

However, as with previous updates, some older models may not support all iOS 19 features. The developer preview versions of iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 are expected to be released in June 2025, coinciding with WWDC 2025. A stable version of iOS 19 will be available next September.

Unfortunately, owners of older iPad models, such as the seventh-generation iPad released in 2019, will not be able to upgrade to iPadOS 19. iOS 19 is rumoured to have fewer new features compared to iOS 18, apart from those related to Apple Intelligence. Thus, iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR users can expect support for their devices for at least one more year.
