iQOO may release Z9 Turbo "Endurance Edition" with even bigger battery
iQOO seems to be preparing to release an updated version of its Z9 Turbo smartphone. According to a well-known insider at Digital Chat Station, the new model is called the "Endurance Edition" and can impress with an even larger battery.
Here's What We Know
The Z9 Turbo has become one of the leaders among mid-range smartphones thanks to its large battery capacity, which surpassed the competitor Redmi Turbo 3. However, given that a large battery has now become commonplace in many smartphones, iQOO plans to make the new version even better.
The exact capacity of the new battery has not yet been disclosed, but there is speculation that it could be 6400 mAh, as in the Z9 Turbo Plus variant. However, this may not be enough to compete with models like the Realme Neo 7.
Leaving the rest of the specs unchanged, the new version of the smartphone is likely to retain the 6.78-inch 144Hz display and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
However, given the rumours about the release of the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset in 2025, its characteristics may no longer be as relevant.
In addition, the charging speed in the "Endurance Edition" will remain at 80W, which may be less attractive than competitors that offer faster charging.
This update could help the Z9 Turbo "Endurance Edition" take its place in the global market among competitors, and also successfully complement the iQoo 13 model, which recently went on sale with a special discount.
