OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro: Almost all likely specs revealed thanks to MIIT certification
OnePlus is preparing to launch its new Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones on 26 December in China. Thanks to the MIIT certification, we are almost certain that all the technical characteristics of these sub-flagship models are known. However, it is worth noting that this information is not yet official.
Here's What We Know
Both new products have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels. The screen supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz and has a built-in fingerprint scanner. The smartphones run on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15.
The OnePlus Ace 5 is powered by a 3.3 GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the Pro version has a 4.3 GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
The Ace 5 has a 6285 mAh battery (typical capacity is 6400 mAh) with 80W charging support. Ace 5 Pro has a dual battery: each of the two parts has a nominal capacity of 2970 mAh (typical capacity is 6100 mAh) and supports 100W charging.
Cameras.
Both smartphones have a 50-megapixel main camera, complemented by 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, as well as a 16-megapixel front camera. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro has an IP65-rated body that provides protection against dust and water.
The Ace 5 will be available in Gravitational Titanium, Full Speed Black and Celestial Porcelain colours, while the Ace 5 Pro will come in Moon White Porcelain, Submarine Black and Starry Purple.
These models will offer up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage. The OnePlus Ace 5 is expected to be the basis for the international OnePlus 13R model, which will be launched in January. This means that OnePlus is adapting the Ace 5 for the global market, possibly with minor changes, but under a different name.
