Glen Schofield, the creator of Dead Space, has revealed that Electronic Arts rejected his proposal to create the fourth instalment. In a recent interview on the Dan Allen Gaming YouTube channel, Schofield, along with his colleagues Christopher Stone and Brett Robbins, discussed the development process of the original 2008 game and shared details about his attempt to submit Dead Space 4 to EA.

Here's What We Know

Glen noted that the team met with EA representatives earlier this year to discuss the possibility of working on a new instalment. However, the publisher did not show interest in continuing the franchise, expressing gratitude for the offer but making it clear that there are no plans to develop Dead Space 4 at the moment.

He also noted that there is a certain amount of risk aversion in the industry right now, and this affects the decisions of major publishers.

In April, Motive Studio, which worked on the Dead Space remake, joined other projects at Criterion and DICE studios to work on a new part of the Battlefield series. So, for now, we can forget about remakes or a new Dead Space part, although the remake of the first one was very decent.
