The Andor series in the Star Wars universe has become the most expensive project, surpassing even the films due to its huge budget. According to Forbes, the total cost of the series reached $645 million, of which $290.9 million was spent on the second season alone.

For comparison, the film Star Wars: The Last Jedi film cost $280.7 million, so this amount is really impressive.

Although the first season did not gain the same popularity as other projects in the franchise, it was recognised by critics and viewers, receiving a 96% freshness score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Andor Project is a spin-off that tells the story of Cassian Andor, first introduced in Rogue One. Season 2 will cover four years of events and culminate in the moment when Cassian and Jyn Erso team up to sabotage the Death Star.

The development process of the second season was not easy: filming began in November 2022, but it was suspended due to the writers' strike in 2023. The filming resumed in January 2024, and Disney confirmed the release date as 22 April 2025.

Now we hope that the second season will not let us down in terms of quality and that such a sum was not spent in vain.
