2025 Subaru Solterra EV has gone down in price by $6,500
Subaru of America has significantly reduced the starting price of the Solterra electric crossover. Now prices for the 2025 model year EV start at $38,495 in the U.S., excluding destination and delivery, which is $6,500 less than what was asked for the 2024 Solterra.

Here's What We Know
New for 2025 is the Solterra Touring Onyx Edition package, priced from $45,495. This is the top version in the Solterra lineup and is offered with 20-inch black aluminium wheels and similarly coloured décor elements. Inside, Subaru adds black accents on the doors and black StarTex upholstery.

EV prices in the U.S. are falling rapidly, which is good news for new buyers, but not for those who have already purchased cars at higher prices and want to sell them. For example, Toyota has cut the bZ4X crossover (the twin brother of the Subaru Solterra) by $6,000, setting the starting price at $38,465. However, the Solterra differs from the bZ4x with standard all-wheel drive, while Toyota's entry-level version is front-wheel drive.
Sales of the 2025 Subaru Solterra will begin early next year.
