Leapmotor is expanding its C10 crossover range with a range-extender version, where the petrol engine acts as a generator and the direct propulsion is provided by an electric motor. The novelty will be presented publicly at the Brussels Motor Show, which will be held from 10 to 19 January 2025.

Here's What We Know

The Leapmotor C10 REEV is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 28.4 kW⋅h battery and a 215 hp (158 kW) electric motor. The electric range on the WLTP cycle is 145 km, but in combined mode the car can cover more than 950 km on a single refuelling and charged battery.

The crossover works mainly as an electric car: the internal combustion engine is activated only when the battery is almost discharged, and acts as a generator to recharge it. In this mode, fuel consumption is 0.4 litres/100 km and CO2 emissions are 10 g/km.

In addition, the C10 REEV supports both AC and DC fast charging. With DC fast charging, the crossover can restore half of its range in just 18 minutes.

It's not yet officially confirmed, but it's likely that the C10 REEV will inherit the design and equipment from the all-electric C10 (pictured in the gallery above). Consequently, you can expect LED headlights, a panoramic roof, 18-inch wheels, tinted windows and hidden door handles.

The interior of the all-electric version features electrically adjustable front seats, wireless smartphone charging, a 12-speaker audio system and a multimedia system with a 14.6-inch screen. In Germany, versions with heated and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting system, electric boot and 20-inch wheels are available.

The cost and terms of appearance on sale modification REEV are not called yet. Prices for the all-electric version with a 69.9 kWh battery start at €36,400 in Germany and €39,050 in the Netherlands.
