OnePlus 13R may get bigger battery, thinner body: details ahead of China launch
OnePlus is preparing to launch the new Ace 5 series in China, which will include a model that will be the global variant of the OnePlus 13R.
Here's What We Know
The Chinese launch will take place on 26 December, and a few hours before that, the company shared details about the battery and thickness of the device.
According to the latest teasers, the Chinese version of the OnePlus 13R will have a 6,400 mAh battery, which is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, which had a 5,500 mAh battery and a body thickness of 8.8 mm.
The new model is 8mm thick, which means that a larger battery capacity does not increase the thickness of the device. Instead, OnePlus was able to keep the body thinner. The bigger battery allows the smartphone to provide up to 23 hours of video playback while still having some power left.

In China, this device will be called OnePlus Ace 5, but it will be essentially the same model. You can see that the alleged OnePlus 13R has flat side edges and a round camera island on the back located in the upper left corner.
All in all, the Chinese launch of the OnePlus Ace 5 will take place on 26 December, while the global release of the OnePlus 13R is scheduled for 7 January 2024.
