The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is reportedly coming out later than previously expected

According to the latest reports, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the company's new flagship smartphone, will be unveiled at the end of February 2025, Chinese sources report.

Here's What We Know

It was earlier speculated that the device would be released in January 2025, as it recently received Chinese 3C certification approval. But a Xiaomi executive denied these rumours saying that the smartphone will be unveiled in February, just like its predecessor Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Chinese insider Digital Chat Station also confirms this information reporting that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be announced in late February, possibly at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona.

According to rumours, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be powered by HyperOS 2.0 and Android 15, and will get a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The battery capacity is expected to be 6000 mAh with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The device is likely to be equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. As for the cameras, it is reported that the main camera will include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 sensor with OIS support, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto lens camera, and a 200-megapixel Samsung HP9 periscopic camera with hybrid zoom up to 100x. But these specs are yet to be officially confirmed.
