Nothing Phone 3a may receive significant camera and processor upgrades over previous models
Nothing Phone 3a series may receive significant updates compared to previous models.
Here's What We Know
The new 3a series phones are rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, which will be a big step up from the Dimensity 7200 and 7350 chips used in previous models.
Although it's not the most powerful chip for the mid-range in 2025, it will still provide a noticeable performance boost. In addition, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is expected to be used in Samsung's new mid-range smartphones, making the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Plus direct competitors to this device.
Another significant change will be the camera. According to rumours, the Nothing Phone 3a will have a telephoto lens, while the 3a Plus will feature a periscope camera with zoom capabilities. This will be the first time that Nothing phones will have a dedicated camera with zoom, as the previous models did not have this feature.
It is also expected to support eSIM, which will allow the use of one physical SIM card and one eSIM, although these details have not yet been confirmed.
Other features of the new products remain a secret for now, but more details are likely to be revealed in the near future.
Nothing has recently completed beta testing of its Nothing OS 3.0 operating system based on Android 15 and started rolling out its stable version. The update will be available for the Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus and CMF Phone 1 in early 2025.
