Here's What We Know
However, according to a recent report, older models, including the Galaxy S23, will not receive the beta update.
At the same time, the approximate timeline for the release of the stable One UI 7 update for most Galaxy smartphones was revealed. According to X user @FamilyTaes, Samsung has no plans to launch a beta update programme for other Galaxy A or Galaxy S series smartphones.
The stable One UI 7 update is expected to be available for most Galaxy A models and all Galaxy S smartphones in February 2025.
During the SDC 2024 event in October, Samsung announced that the One UI 7 stable update would be released in the first quarter of 2025. And it looks like the company intends to keep its promise. However, don't expect all devices in different regions to receive the update at the same time.
This year, Samsung delayed the release of the One UI update for a while, as sources say the company wanted to make significant improvements to the user experience.
One UI 7 contains significant changes to the interface design, including a new look for the Quick Settings panel, customisation options, a separate page for notifications, and smooth animations and transitions.
There are also new application icons with gradient backgrounds, improved support for one-handed operation, and a new camera application.
