Rumour: AMD's new Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card will run at up to 3.1GHz and offer excellent overclocking capabilities
AMD is reportedly preparing to unveil its new Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card at CES 2025, which is rumoured to promise impressive performance.
Here's What We Know
According to the latest leaks, the reference version of the card will have an operating frequency of 2.8 to 3.1 GHz, while custom versions from AMD partners could reach even higher frequencies. The custom versions are also expected to consume up to 330W, which is 70W more than the reference version.
The graphics card will be based on RDNA 4 architecture and will feature 16GB of GDDR6 video memory with 256-bit bus. The Radeon RX 9070 XT is reported to perform close to the GeForce RTX 4080 in performance tests, with a difference of just 5%, but there is no visual evidence of this yet.
Despite its high power consumption, the card could be an attractive choice for gamers due to its performance and price, which is rumoured to be between $600 and $649. This graphics card and other AMD products are expected to be officially announced at CES 2025.
