Google Search has been updated with a gaming paschalk in honour of the new season of the TV series The Squid Game
In honour of the release of the second season of the popular TV series The Squid Game on Netflix, Google Search has unveiled a new passphrase.
Here's What We Know
Now, when searching for the query "Squid Game" on desktops and mobile devices, users will see a floating invitation card from the series. Clicking on it launches the full-screen mini-game "Red Light, Green Light," which also works as a search query. In this game, users control six characters who must move forward when the large robotic doll isn't looking and stop when it turns around.
A soundtrack adds to the game's atmosphere, and the "Forward" and "Stop" buttons allow users to control the characters' movement. The game is considerably softened compared to the original, but still allows you to spend a few minutes during the festive season.
The second season of "The Squid Game" was released more than three years after the first, with the final season expected to air in 2025.
