Designer shows iPhone 17 Pro Max Slim concept with new camera design and ultra-thin body (video)
The concept designer presented what the iPhone 17 Pro Max Slim might look like, based on rumours of an updated camera design. The video also shows a possible ultra-thin version of the smartphone called the iPhone 17 Air.
Here's What We Know
According to leaks from Apple's production chains, the next generation iPhone may have the thinnest body ever. The concept video shows how such a design might look like, including a new camera unit that looks like a horizontal panel, like Google Pixel smartphones.
However, it is important to note that this model is unlikely to become a reality in 2025. It is assumed that the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air will be available with only one camera module and an average level of performance, while the Pro versions will probably retain a three-camera setup.
Nevertheless, the concept is an interesting glimpse into Apple's future. Technology experts such as The Information believe that some of the design elements of the iPhone 17 Air could become the basis for other models. However, the final look of the iPhone 17 Pro Max remains a mystery, and this concept should be seen as a visualisation of ideas, not a confirmation of leaks.
The company has not yet disclosed the details of the device, but thanks to Bloomberg insider Mark Gurman, some nuances have become known. Gurman recently reported that the iPhone 17 Air will be 2 mm thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro.
As a reminder, the iPhone 16 Pro has a body thickness of 8.25 mm, so Apple's new product will have a 6.25 mm body. Previously, the title of the thinnest iPhone belonged to the sixth model, which is 6.9 mm thick.
