Samsung has revealed new details about its first XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan.

This device, which uses the new Android XR operating system, will be a direct competitor to Apple's Vision Pro. Although previously the companies were limited to general announcements, new details are gradually emerging.

Here's What We Know

Recently, Google shared that Android XR will support the Find My Device feature and also revealed how users will be able to manage the system. The Android XR operating system combines traditional three-button Android navigation with modern gesture navigation without buttons.

Here's How It Works

As soon as the user raises their hand, a diamond-shaped button appears on the screen. To press it, you need to connect your thumb and index finger in a pinch gesture. After that, three familiar buttons appear on the screen: a circle for Launcher, a triangle for Back, and a square for recent apps. To select one of them, you need to swipe the corresponding button and release the pinch gesture.

Android XR's gesture navigation is very easy to use thanks to familiar Android principles. This solution is likely to make the headset more user-friendly and the operating system itself more accessible to a wider audience.

Google also announced two spaces in the system: Home Space and Full Space, which opens up new opportunities for interactive interaction.
