Apple has released iOS 18.2.1 update for all iPhone users. It came less than a month after the release of iOS 18.2, which brought new Apple Intelligence features.

How to install iOS 18.2.1

The update is already available in iPhone settings. To download it, open Settings, go to the General section, and select Software Update. The version has the build number 2A3798.

Along with iOS 18.2.1, the company also released iPadOS 18.2.1 for iPad. Other devices, including Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, Vision Pro, and HomePod, did not receive the update this time.

What's new in the update

Apple's notes for this release are extremely concise: "This update contains important bug fixes and is recommended for all users."

Although the exact list of changes and fixes is not specified, it is clear that the main focus is on stability and bug fixes. New features in this update should not be expected.

At the same time, Apple continues to test iOS 18.3. The first beta version was released in December 2024, and newer beta versions should be available by the end of January.

Install iOS 18.2.1 now to get the latest fixes and ensure your iPhone is running at its best.

Following the release of iOS 18.2, some users have encountered issues affecting different iPhone models. According to WCCFTech, one of the main issues was that the Camera app would display a black screen when first launched. To launch the camera, users had to close and reopen the app 2-3 times. A similar problem was observed in third-party applications such as Snapchat.

Another noticeable problem was a delay in the flashlight. It switched on with a delay of 5-10 seconds when activated via the lock screen or control panel, although it used to work instantly.
