The first 2025 Steam digital shop weekly sales chart has been published.

Here's What We Know

The chart leader remains the hit isometric action-RPG Path of Exile 2. The game is in Early Access, but even in its unfinished state it impresses with a huge amount of content and unprecedented freedom in character development.

Second place goes to Steam Deck handheld consoles, and rounding out the top three is the popular co-op shooter Helldivers 2, which will receive a full-length film adaptation from Sony.

Thanks to discounts and the festive weekend, the top ten is back with massive games that many people didn't have time for during the year - Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and GTA V.

The full list of the top ten most profitable Steam titles from 31 December to 7 January looks like this:

  1. Path of Exile 2
  2. Steam Deck
  3. Helldivers 2
  4. Elden Ring
  5. Baldur's Gate 3
  6. Cyberpunk 2077
  7. Grand Theft Auto V
  8. Call of Duty
  9. EA SPORTS FC 25
  10. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The most profitable free-to-play games of the week were Counter-Strike 2, PUBG and Marvel Rivals, which will launch its first seasonal update on 10 January.
