CES 2025: Acer unveiled two powerful handheld consoles, the Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11
Acer unveiled two new models of its Nitro Blaze line of handheld consoles at CES 2025.

Buyers will be offered the Nitro Blaze 8 with an 8.8-inch display and the Nitro Blaze 11 with a 10.95-inch diagonal.
Both models feature an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS 8-core processor with a maximum frequency of 5.1Hz, 16GB of LPDDR5X SDRAM RAM, AMD Radeon 780M graphics, 2TB storage and Windows 11 operating system.
The Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11 feature WQXGA (1366×768 pixels) resolution displays with a refresh rate of 120Hz for the Blaze 8 and 144Hz for the Blaze 11. The consoles support Radeon Super Resolution and AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution technologies to boost gaming performance.
The developer has integrated 55Wh lithium-polymer batteries in the devices, which support fast charging: 65W for the Blaze 8 and 100W for the Blaze 11.
The gadgets will get Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support and a Ryzen AI chip with up to 39 TOPS. The consoles will have USB 4 (Type-C), USB 3.2 (Type-C), USB 3.2 (Type-A) ports and a Micro SD slot on the chassis.
The main difference between the Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11 is that the controllers from the larger model can be removed and used remotely. There is also a difference in the weight of the devices and their charging speed.
When to expect and the cost of the devices
It is stated that the Acer Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11 will go on sale in North America in the second quarter of2025 for $899 and in Europe, Middle East and Africa for €999.
As a bonus when purchasing the gadget, users will get three free months of access to the PC Game Pass service.
