According to the latest insider information, Apple plans to release a new iPhone SE 4 smartphone and updated iPads by April 2025, but "if everything goes according to plan".

Here's What We Know

According to Bloomberg insider Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 4 and new iPad tablets are being developed on iOS 18.3 and will be unveiled by April, before the release of iOS 18.4.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to get significant upgrades over the previous model, including a new 5G modem, a 6.1-inch OLED display with a cutout in the screen for the front camera and iPhone 14-style Face ID, as well as a USB Type-C port instead of Lightning. The device is also expected to feature a 48-megapixel rear camera and a 24-megapixel front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, the new iPads will also be introduced with improved specs, but the specific changes are not yet known. Apple usually holds its spring events in March, but this year the launch of new devices could happen in April.
